How do I test a pu coil on a 90 eldo 4.5. Have eratic miss on several cylinders. Anyone have specs??
Thanks
Denny
Update: Tested pu coil and shows 700 ohms.
Had a Miss and one bank of fuel injetors were inoperative due to a blown fuse at the U/H relaly and fuse center. I now got a code e041 and went for a new Hall effect swithch/ cam sensor. Then I found a broken groung wire inside he dist. so now I can test the cam sensor again. I hope this caused my bad miss.
Anyone had a similar experience.
Denny
Thanks

Had a bank of injectors missfiring and found the fuse to be blown Cam sensor fixed and code now history.
Tested Injectors for ohm readings which I believe were to be 13 - 16 ohms. I had 3 of them that were below 5 ohms. Replaced the injectors with used ones and veh runs like dream. Now all I have to do is pass air care.
The shop said I needed a valve job and a head gasket to solve my engine miss problem. Glad I didn't go that far into the repair.
As I said, the compression test didn't convince me that the head gasket or valves were gone.
Hope this info helps.
