Hey guys, I found a stock, R34 Skyline GT Turbo. Its about 15000 dollars. It has only 56000 KM on it. Does anyone know what engine the GT has ? Does it have strong internals like its brother the GTR ? I want to buy the car badly, but I want performance out of it as well. Thanx guys, you people seem to know a lot about the Skyline. Peace.

the GT-T has the RB25DET so i'd guess the GT has a RB25DE. if so its a good motor and performs well but its N/A so not as strong or as easy to get power out of as a turbo. an RB26 (GTR motor) would be a lot stronger.

but its a turbo motor,

The entire RB series of moters are all very strong. The differences are, besides displacement related things (ie head, pistons, conrods), throttle bodies (I beleave the RB25 has one throttle body wereas the RB26 has six seperate), manifold (Depending on asperation), and a few other things i'm sure.

As far as I know the GT version was non-turbo and the GT-t was the RB25DET engine.

If it is GT and a turbo then someone could have done a conversion?

Do you know the price difference between the GT and the GT-T offhand? I doubt it would be cheaper to buy a GT and turbo it yourself then to just go ahead and buy a GT-T... I'll check into it.

well, i guess its a GTT, the car is completely stock. I am lookin for about a 10 sec 1/4 mile time w/o nitrous. I had a few ideas on wha i should do, this is my list :

Turbo ( anyone know some good comapnies ? )
Fuel system w/ 850's
NOS 125 D/P
Stand alone ECU
Gauges
Forged Cranks and Pistons

I am looking for about 750 RWHP. Does anyone know the price of this setup ? I have about ten grand, I'm in america which also kind of makes it a hassle cuz they're isn't a lot of skyline tuners here. Thanx for all the help guys

From a GT-t with the RB25DET I'd suggest looking at a big HKS turbo and lots of boost. :D

Do you want it streetable or just a drag car?

I want a street car

Don't you think i should upgrade the internals ? Anyone know of some fuel sytems for the RB25DET ??

first off, didn't read your first post correctly, sorry, RB25DET.
you'll need to perform a fair few upgrades to get 750rwhp out of it but its probably acheivable within your budget. the motor has good aftermarket support so things like upgraded fuel systems are not a problem. if you want some quotes i can put you in contact with some skyline/nissan parts suppliers.
i don't think this car will be streetable with this much power though. it will be laggy and violent when it comes on boost:D it may be street legal but i'm guessing you won't want to drive it on wet days.

The car will be a kind of daily driver, on wet days I have a civic beater. The car will be a street racer, 1/4 mile and high way racing. Hows the handling on the Skyline GT compared to the Supra TT ?

Cadet, if you could give me some addresses it would be great, The car will be on low boost when I'm daily driving, maybe 10 PSI. Does anyone have crash ratings for the Skyline GT ? I need to show it to make it a street car in america. Thanx a lot guys, I'll keep updating on the process, peace

You are not going to get that much hp out of a rb25. You can get around 500 to 550.

why not ? Any engine can make serious power with the right mods, is the compression too high ? please explain

the compression is higher in the rb25 and the components are weaker than the rb26. You can go higher hp levels you will just be blowing up alot of mtr parts.
