1979 chevy corvette steering colum

will any other steering colum fit besides a '79 vette steering colum?

From what I have read and seen the '78 is the closest interchangeable vette to the '79.

...there are many seperate parts in the column that are interchangable with other years though. Depends on what you want I guess.
