Not to offend any of you 4th gen owners, but I'm not crazy about the design either.

Same here, i'd OWN a 4th gen, but if I had a choice.. i'd still take a 3rd gen over a 4th.

Well, not to offend any third gen owners but I thnk they're ugly, and think the interior leaves much to be desired...

and what transmission is in this car a manual or auto???

You serious? 3rd and 4th gens interior is almost exactly the same without many curves thats all.

every time i see topic of this thread i think it says

jerking off gas between 40 and 50 mph

Are you blind? I don't know what the differences are but I just know that I don't care for third gens my brother has an 86 TA and I don't like the interior at all. I like mine more and I like his 2000 TA even more than mine...

Sick, but funny...

Nah not blind. What I think looks bad is the cluster.. I dont like the RPMs being on the left, but 4rd gens cluster isnt the best either.. especially the early models.

I like em all, will probably own them all. But I prefer one over the other like any car owner.

Let everyone hate me. I like '68 and '69, and '85-'92.

Maybe it's a bad torque convertor? I don't know.

That's why I was asking what transmission you guys have in your cars that way we could venture some guesses as to what could be going wrong when you let off the gas.

I-ROC KID said he has a 700R4, and I'd wager 91camaro_rs has the same.

Well then I hope somebody who knows the 700R4 well can take a stab at what could be wrong my only guess is that something that is supposed to be letting the engine seperate from the drive train when you let off the gas is not doing it's job correctly. I don't know all that much about the inner workings of transmissions and nothing about the 700R4 specifically.

whatever is jerking it feels like its coming from behind the engine. its an automatic transmission also. but there is no problems any other time, just when i let off the gas between 40 and 50 mph.

sounds like some sort of slippage going from 4th to 3rd. just a guess tho.

feels like that...but its hard to know for sure. checked the transmisson fluid after i drove it awhile. It was at the cold level. dont know what the deal is. havent seen any leaks or anything.

Sounds like an internal transmission problem. Something wrong with a valve, clutch, band, ect., but that's just my best guess.

could also be the convertor locking/unlocking on its way out
