i just had some work done on my 95 buik lesabre. i had the fuel pump and some sections of gas line replaced. but now i cant put the hammer down at all. when i do it starts sputtering and slows down like the engine stops turning or the gas is feeding right. i thought maybe alternator or battery because i have installed new audio equipment, but just wondering what other suggestions people out there have for me.

did you have a new fuel filter installed too? Plug wires are also a good thing to check.

my parents had an olds 88 about the same year, and I think they are similar cars. It had a 3.8 v-6 in it, and did about the same thing. We couldn't figure it out and drove it like that for about a year. We finally took it somewhere and all it needed was new plug wires. It's worth a try, and not too expensive.
