Rear a/c not working

My rear a/c quit working today. Front works fine. Don't they both work off the same compressor? Any ideas? Isn't too comfortable w/o the rear a/c working. Doesn't get cold enough thru the front vents unless the rear is on as well. I read a post about this and the reason being something about circulating the freon in the line. So I would love to have the rear a/c up and going again. Thanks.

sounds like the thermal expansion valve [TXV] is stuck for the rear air.
