93 intrepid blower not working

Ok my 93 intrepid over the summer the heater would turn on i would shut it back off. it has done this all summer long. well today I tried to use the defroster and nothing. turned on the air nothing. tried the heater air conditioner kept coming on while set on 80 but it would not blow. checked fuses all where good. what might be wrong and how can i test it. and where do i find it to test it. please help this poor lady. is my blower motor bad or is there a relay that has went bad? Any sugestions that you can give me would be nice because I'll need a heater.

well, from what you describe sounds like you have the automatic climate control, if that's the case, you have a bad head unit and those things are common to fail on 1st-gen Intrepids. There's only one downside to this, it's going to cost over $400 to replace the head unit and it can't be repaired; sorry to be the Grim Reaper of bad news.

are you talking about the atc head that is going bad

yes, the ATC head unit itself is going bad.

and the atc is showing code 26 in car sensor but the dealer ship does not know what that means

well i purchased the new push button unit at a salvage yard to have it instahled tonarrow i think that is what they call the atc head right. it goes right under the sterio

yeah, the ATC unit is what it's called. If you had a code for the in-car sensor, that's mounted inside of the unit itself; surprised the dealer didn't know what they're talking about.

Hey Vickie - Did this fix the problem? I believe I'm having the same issue...

93 intrepid - (ATC unit not working) No display - back lights do come on at night but that's it - if I don't pull the fuse for the blower motor the defrost is on high all the time...

How much did you pay for ATC unit from salvage yard - if you don't mind my asking.
