Ok, I am in the process of installing a new water pump on my g/f's 92 G/A. During the process of this I have uncovered 2 Sensors and the PCV valve that seem to be stuck into some ungodly spots. The 2 sensors are stuck behind the alternator and I am pretty sure that one of them is the coolant temp sensor but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the other sensor right next to it is for. I am thinkin that since I already got this thing apart that I am going to replace the PCV valve, the 2 sensors (if I can figure them out) and the serpentine belt. Can someone help me out ASAP as I am going to be putting this car back together tomorrow??? Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jeremy

the one behind the altenator is probley the oil pressure sending unit. this link shows the location of engine components. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/57/51/0900823d800e5751.jsp

this link tells how to remove/install the water pump. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/4f/7c/0900823d800e4f7c.jsp

the PVC, if it has seized up it should be replaced. The Zone has alot of good referances for older model cars and some newr, for free, thats kick-ass! If this doest help just holler, we'll see what we can do. XI

Thanks for the links..... I love Autozone cuz I look there for all that stuff. I looked at those yesterday about how to do this. If you look at your first link for the component locations you will see where "D" is and there is another sensor/switch right next to it but not listed there. I am guessing it is a switch cuz it is not listed under sensors. I was going thru their alphabetical list of components for the locations and the only thing I found that could be remotely close is the Temperature Switch. I know it is not the oil pressure sending unit cuz it seems to be in the water jacket of the intake manifold. LMK what ya think.

"D" is the temp sending unit. "G" is the knock sensor and the "F" is the DCS. The only other thing I see on the diagram is #8 fuel vapor canister solenoid. In the water jacket of the intake manifold is the temp. unit. I hav a 93 3.3 stashed in my shop somewhere, i had thought of checking it, but I've misplaced it. LOL! I hav a large collections of engines so its combersum looking for anything in there. Any thiiing else?
