Ok Quick Question If i swaped heads from an Rs To a GS-r would i have to buy a new turbo manifold or what. Beucase the kits like spcify if it is a gs/Rs/Ls Or Gsr Itr and so fouth. So would chaning the head Help out any and would i have to get a new Mani???

What kind of car do you have? And if you want a GS-R head you might as well go with a whole vtec conversion. Is the reason your asking about a new turbo mani because your car is turbocharged. You need to be a lot more clear.

putting an ls head on a gsr block is pointless. if it is a b series mani, it will bolt onto any b series head.

I think he means the other way around (LS/vtec), because he said he has an RS in another thread. Wording of his post is very poor.


But yes putting a GS-R head on the LS engine would help with power (if done correctly anyways). Do a search about it.

GSR vs LS the head bold patern is the same, but the GSR block is a little smaller, height wise. so if you already have a ls down pipe, and switch to a GSR head it should bolt right up. BUT do a search for boosted ls/vtec. They are very hard to build correctly with reliability in mind.

building correctly is one thing, driving correctly is a whole different story.

this is out of a stock gsr. you can have it built correctly but if you cant drive youll see this.
