I think my water pump may be on the way out...something in the area of the water pump squeaks randomly. Any big deal replacing it? Tips? Tricks?
Thanks!

Not a big deal, but could be the belt tensioner too. You will know when you take off the belt, as pump should have a lot of play when wore out. Just replaced the one in my son's 91 (3.1). The only things are (1) the belt, and (2) removing and installing the bolts in the pump pulley(there are 4 of them). If you have changed the belt before then that won't be a big deal. If not, I might suggest a large crescent wrench. I have a special tool for GM serpintine belts, but it is a pain to use on this car. On the belt tensioner, you should see a "square" area at the very end, I put a very large crescent wrench on it, and it works very well for belt removal. Just put it on snugly and lift the tensioner, remove belt. when you put back together, works well for that too. The pump pulley wheel will simply spin when a wrench or socket is on the bolts, so I used a combination of wrench and socket/ratchet working against each other to break the bolts loose. that last one I used a screwdriver to help lock the pulley. Use this method to tighten up when installing.Be sure not to loose these bolts. Be sure to clean the gasket stuff off and be sure to use lock-tite on the bolts on the pulley wheel. I also used some silicon sealant to hold the new gasket in place, per directions included with the new pump.

Thanks jsgold!
I'll check for play before going any further.
Yep, lifting the tensioner for belt removal is a tricky one.
