i have a 89 toyota supra with 7mgte i have a huge problem with very lower power and i can not seem to get timing correct. i have no response when grouning check terminals. also timing apers at 35 degrees. I have a timing light that tells rpm which it is telling me it 1800 rpm which i know is incorrect. Everythign seems to be doubled as in timing and rpm on my timing light i have numerous timing lights with same outcome. if i bump the timing back to 15 (as low as it will go it is very very weak) but even if i set it at 35 then it has very low power. it boosts 5-6 . Not sure what the problemis i know the cams are correct i have checked 3 times i know the cps is in correct. Also i know the balancer has not moved. Any suggestion would be a huge help.

all you have to do is find top dead center andmake sure its on the compression stroke.did you remove the cam position sensor?

i had the same issue with my supra at one point and 4 different shops had no clue what was going on, so i took the time to do some trouble shooting, and found that my problem was simple as the intercooler piping was diconnected and was not pressurising the IC piping. try that it worked for me.:screwy:
