we should all petition the fia or whoever has the footage, to release the entire fia gt series 1997 and 1998 seasons on dvd, as well as the 1995/96 bpr global gt series seasons... and all seasons of jgtc in which the f1 gtr raced, whos with me? i want race footage, while were at it throw in the 1995 through 1998 24 heures du mans as well...we want dvd's...

Don't they already have those on VHS? I could have sworn I saw a few tapes about the 1996 BPR series on e-Bay. And I own a copy of "McLaren at Le Mans" which in my opinion is better than getting the whole 1995 Le Mans even on video because it focuses on what a F1 GTR fan would be most intrested in.

They're all on PAL format though. Damn...

Just have to be resourceful or a fan of the McLaren from the beginning.

JGTC is not under FIA... in case you were confused. :icon16:

JGTC SPECIAL DVD BOX[DVD]―1994-2004 (http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4879049301/qid=1126884112/sr=8-4/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i4_xgl74/250-0354758-3308240) has been released on DVD through Amazon.co.jp :naughty: ( You have to have an multi-region DVD player for those not in Japan or the UK. Click on the link to the amazon page.) Awesome footage of the 96 season where McLaren dominated.. as well as the 98-03 years where McLaren occasionally placed. Showed a horrific scene of a McLaren being t-boned by a 911. Pink and gray carbon fiber bits everwhere.

BPR 96 is available on VHS through Duke video. Transferred mine to DVD. :naughty:

Personally have never seen the 95 BPR series on VHS/DVD anywhere. Can anyone confirm that it even exists?

LeMans 95, 96, 97, 98 were available through Duke video as well.

97 FIA GT series.. for those that were lucky enough to be fans of the McLaren back in 97.. we taped it. :naughty:

There are a couple of other VHS of the 96 McLaren in their full glory from Japan. :smokin: These have long since been discontinued.

You might want to focus your petition on the 97 FIA GT series where McLarens were prevalent running at least 5-7 cars in some races. BRDC British GT series is the one you want for 98. But those show the McLarens losing to the CLK GTR v.2.

STOP whatever you are doing right now. Get that 'McLaren at Le Mans' film uploaded ASAP.:D

On the subject of the Le Mans 95 tape. I have had 2 copies now, both of which died around the 40 mins mark. It turns out that the master copy becasme damaged at the publishers, so if you have a working copy. I want that uploaded ASAP too :D

As some of you will know, theres supposed to be a 10 year Limited Editions version of Driving Ambition with a DVD fairly soon. I wonder if that will be M&LM?

well in 1995 i was 10 and didnt discover the mclaren f1 till i was 13 or 14 and due to the fact i didnt have internet or speed channel then so i was limited to books and magazines and calendars, of which there were few. i know jgtc has nothing to do with fia. as for the jgtc box set, will my ps2 play it? it plays initial d dvd that i bought from hong kong so it should play the jgtc right? can i get the duke videos still? if so where? as for 97 fia im pretty much screwed as i was a fan but couldnt watch let alone tape the races, and as for 1998 it was the 98 fia gt series that the clk-lm wiped up, there was only 1 f1 gtr in 98 and it was a privateer entry by thomas bscher, the all black and red stripe davidoff gtr, was loctite at le mans that year 022r i believe. i never heard of the BRDC series till this forum, glad i joined! my avatar is the papaya orange "vueve cliquot" car from that series i believe, pelotons least favorite livery :cwm27:

Sometimes, I forget how young people are... :icon16:

I don't know about the Hong Kong DVD's. A lot of their stuff are multi-regional/non-regional DVD's.

I believe you can still order multi-region DVD player from Amazon.com for around $100-$150USD. I ordered mine from there. Was told that Best-Buy in the US still carried multi-region DVD players for under $100USD.

Available through Duke Video USA
WORLD SPORTSCAR BPR REVIEW 1996 VHS (http://www.dukevideousa.com/products/3534NV.htm)

In-Car Sports Car Experience (http://www.dukevideousa.com/products/3538NV.htm)

Available through Duke Video UK (only in PAL)

LeMans 1997 (http://www.dukevideo.com/products/BCL010.htm)

That papaya orange "vueve cliquot" GTR would be a nice acquisition to convert to a street car.

To clarify, it doesn't really have a livery - that's why I don't really like it. Compare that car to all the other GTRs, and except for the current Yellow Corn GTR that has no sponsor graphics, none of them are quite as boring as #27R's Vueve Cliquot livery. If it didn't wear a race number you'd be hard pressed to even identify it as belonging on the track.

when i first saw it i thought hmmmm 1997 lm? not in a literal sense, but the look of it makes me think that, with the papaya orange and all, looks like a gtr converted to road car, i like it actually
