I have a 90 Laser trubo. A while ago it stalled when I was in my driveway and would not start back up. I replaced the coil pack and it started and ran for a little while. When I was driving it to have it inspected, it died on me again. I am NOT getting spark but am getting fuel. My next door neighbor looked at it and said that I wasn't getting power to the coil pack. I don't know what the problem is. Help me figure out what is wrong with my baby. Can I test the crank positon sensor myself or do i need to take to the garage? I appreciate any input.

The CAS is where I would start. Simply remove it, put the key to the on position, and turn the little CAS piece by hand. You should hear the pump kick on, and the injectors firing. I had a CAS that would work intermittently. This test was the only way I could verify it was the CAS, since it can be tested with the motor and starter not making any noise. If it works properly, do it for a while to make sure it doesnt go out randomly. Then go from there...
Edit> I should mention that when you reinstall it you will need to reset it with a timing light, or you could mark the CAS before removing it so you can get it back on in the exact same spot. It's a fairly sensitive adjustment, so I would try to get it close, and use a timing light or have it checked at your earilest convenience.
