What have you checked?

Are the front wheels the same as the back wheels?

Sounds like your hubs are partially engaging.

First, and easiest thing to check is the fluid level in your Tcase. Open the upper level check plug and make sure that the fluid level is at the hole, or no more than an inch below it. While you're at it you should probably just change the fluid. Use only Dextron III. Double check but I think it takes about a quart (I say double check because it might be a quart and a half).

Double check that your 4wd fuse is not burnt.

Do a "calibration". Put your vehicle in neutral, and shift from 2hi to 4hi. When the light stops flashing and the 4hi light is solid shift in to park. Repeat process from 4hi to 2hi.

If none of this gets your 4wd working properly you have a few more easy things to check:

Using a test light or voltage tester ensure that your switch is working properly.

Make sure that the vacuum line to your actuator is not leaking.

If everything above is operating properly then your actuator motor is likely burnt. It doesn't sound like that's the case though, so good luck.

Ever have a problem when you press the 4HI button it flashes and then does not light, but neither does the 2HI? So basically no lights are lit?

So has anyone had the issue mentioned above? Anyone able to give me some advice on this?
