whats faster Prelude or eclipse

Ok guys for all of you who have raced hondas. What would win if they were bone stock, a 97 prelude or a 97 eclipse gst.

a 97 gst stock has 210 hp, a stock 97 prelude has what 195-200?
I dont know how different they are in weight, and considering both were 5 spds, I think the gst would win :D

it would be pretty close,but i would say that the gs-t would take the prelude

I'm going with GS-T. Torque advantage in the Eclipse makes it less "idiot proof". Having lower torque numbers seems to make it more and more difficult to get off a good launch, and keep your engine in the right powerband.

Eclipses are heavy, but Preludes make a dump truck look like a feather, so GST all the way.

GS-T...but not by all that much.

The GST would win because its better period and because dats my ride.

i would go for the Eclipse GST, because it also has turbo too, plus when turbo kicks in for the Eclipse, it has around 230 hp, the prelude is cool but is also heavy too.

The GST wins, My friend in his Auto GST, raced a another friend in his 5sp Prelude type SH, both of which have air filters as there only mod and the GST beat him by a half a car length or maybe a little more.:D

it wouldnt even be a race. 97 gs-t -60 6.6 sec. the prelude type sh is 7.7
1/4 for the clipse is 15.3 the lude is 15.7. the eclipse is a bad ass car please dont compare it to worthless hondas. :rolleyes:

Your crazy...a VTEC Luda will pull a 15.2-15.3 stock same as the GST. And I am a DSM fan and I still admit a Honda is good car...Your a little too cocky about your Talon, you think Honda is shit? I've got an LS/VTEC 99 Si you can race if you think your such a badass.

Damn, shoulda raced when I was up in Ohio. I made a prelude look like he was standing still the other day, and he had all of the bolt ons, plus one of those WW front bumpers to make it look fast. He even got the jump since he initiated the race. Hit 2nd, punched it, and gone. Going for high 12s when the new exhaust and turbine housing gets on. Top end really sucks right now.

Sorry RyanSVT, but the Honda might be cheap speed, but they have no style, and everytime I race that lude he loses. He is working on a turbo upgrade and we're going to go again :devil:
