1996 Alternator alternatives?

Ok. So I bought the '96. I like it. It's a fun little truck to drive... And now... after three weeks... the alternator has died...

Can I replace the stock 60 Amp with an alternator from a newer model without mods?

Comon now... you can't tell me that no one here has tried this....

Did you try searching the Rodeo/Passfort Forum for "alternator"?
I'm sure there's "one or two" threads that have discussed this. http://www.smilies-and-more.com/pics/smilies/devils/020.gif

Of course I did. There's no hard answers. Only a few links to show the setup but no one actually states what alternator they have. I mean, is it from a newer Rodeo? A different Isuzu? Or from another vehicle altogether?
