Calibra Problem

Hi All,
Just a quick question hopefully someone could help me with, i've been trying to find information on this but havn't had much luck.
I have a 92' -Auto- Holden/Opel Calibra. When I first start my car, reverse out of the driveway everything is fine. But Occasionally when I put it into Drive to take off the Sports (S) light comes on and starts flashing, and the car barely moves. To fix it i have to turn it of and start the car again. Most times it doesnt happen twice but occasionally i have had to restart my car a few times.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea? What can I do to fix it and what area would the problem be in. Im assuming transmision?
