Ok my girlfriend has a 89 DX hatch, blown motor. I have a 90 EX parts car with the 1.6 NON vtec MPFI engine.
I want to put the motor and trany into the DX, but i do NOT have the DX harness anymore, it was all cutup and stuff.
Is there a way to use the MPFI wire harness and make the swap work?
NEED SOME HELP ASAP, MOTOR IS GOIN INTO NIGHT!!! THANKS

I'd say if the years are the same then it may be easier than expected. There were some weird changes made during certain years with the Si harness with a few locations of things. One weird thing is the timing jumper connector on my 90 is in the passenger foot well near the door whereas on other models the jumper is inside the engine bay near the resistor box to the fuel injectors. I guarantee that you can use parts from both harnesses if you have a Helms manual handy. GL

i went from a dx w/ dpfi and switched it to a mpfi and used the si harness. So i think the swap would work if you switch the harness also but i dont know for sure.

well the 1.6 L sub harness plugs right in to the DX, but there is one extra plug on the 1.6 harness then the DX. So what do i do about that extra plug? I am talking about the plugs on the passanger side engine bay.
