Hope im in the right forum this time.
Going crazy, been without a radio for 2 months now. No code in manual that came w/car. Put a new battery in and you know what happened.
Called Acura gave them this infro
Serial # B70523691C
Ref# CM926A0
Unidentified # 39101-523-A020-M1
They could not locate the radio code for me.
I would really appreciate it if someone out there has the know how to find it for me. LA driving is the pits without sounds.
Thanks
Dan

Code is a 5 digit number, input using the preset buttons, thus numbers can range from 1-6. Typically the code is located on a sticker pasted onto the area seen directly above the ashtray when it is pulled out. Be careful though because after you mess up the code too many times the radio will lock up for good.

Yes, the radio will lock up after 3 wrong entries of a code, but it's not for good. After about an hour, you can try again. Dealerships are *loathe* to give out that "universal" radio code. They have one, I assure you. They just want you to bring the car in so they can charge you for it. I've been in the installation industry for 9 years now, and I *still* haven't found a dealership that'll give me any stock radio codes.

I have a '94 SI and I did not have the radio code either since I bought my Del Sol used. My Batt failed and I was ready to go to the dealer but after reading this post I found a sticker directly under the ash tray-gave it a go and great news! Got my radio fuctioning. Thanks!

I just tore the dash back off again but found no sticker. Guess it was left off this 2000 civic since it doesn't have an ashtray. Got radio out far enough to get ser # M98N311564 and ref # CQ-JH5815ZC. Cleaned the battery terminals and now the wife has no radio. VIN is # 2HGEJ6612YH517623. Thanks for any help.
edit: Left a message with the busy service dept at dealer and they called me back with the code within an hour. Kind of surprised me after some of the posts I'd read. Wife should have her tunes on the way home today, all's good.
