Hope this is helpfull to other readers. I bent the three flat prongs on the clip up as flat as I could then they broke and the ring came right off. It was broken then but found putting zip tie around plunger bar and metal part of brake pedal (metal plate above the actual pedal itself) then run another tie around bar and new switch alot easier than trying to put no clip on. This sounds bad but is fairly easy and there is no extra pressure put on the ties while pedal is being used so they won't ever break. Makes it easier if it ever has to be replaced again.
Just how I did it thought I might help someone else, others may think its rigging but hey it worked good.

Use an ice pick or a long scribe and insert it where the clip folds over on itself. Then give the ice pick handle a hit with the palm of your hand. Clip pops right off with minimal cussing, unless you can't find where the clip poped off to.
