Dim readout heater control 98 LeSabre

My heater control is dim. Sometimes you can make it brighter by tapping on the face where the temperature reads out.

I have found an electrical repair on Regals where resistors can be resoldered and fix the brightness again. Is this the same unit as LeSabres. This is the dual automatic air condtioning.\
