Does the pops a dent work and what sizes of dents?

I've heard those dent poppers can hurt paint and only work on smaller dents like 3 inches in diameter. This is what I heard from like 2 people so it's just word on the street.

How do you pull dents with dry ice?Let the area dented sit out in the hot sun for a few hours, or use a heat gun to heat the surface. AFter it has reached a decent temperature, quickly touch the dented area with the dry ice. The thermal shock will quickly contract the metal, popping the dent out.

It won't work with all dents, and if the metal as stretched, rippled, or distorted significantly it likely won't work.

Some people say it works. Some people say it is an urban myth. Try it and see what happens.

yep, i let it sit right out in the sun on a beautiful 105 degree day for a little bit then basically just put the dry ice up to the dent, no it doesnt always work but for 99 cents its worth a shot, using a plunger is another thing ive heard of people doing, ive never been able to get that to work though

Ya. My dent is kind of big and so i'm thinking I jsut might have to take it to a body shop and get all my dings and dents popped out then. It would be worth it to me I guess. But the price is going to suck to have it done professionally.

Got all my dents and dings removed yesterday afternoon!! Didn't pay a dime and had it done professionally. Turns out my like best friends uncle does it for a living and has his own shop and he was in town helping my friends dad build a deck and I stopped over and asked him if he could do it. And he had a set of tools in his trunk. It was totally awesome to not have to pay anything for a couple hundred dollar deal. It pays to discover!

Did you place the dry ice on the dent or what?

What kidna tools do they use for it?
It is VERY cold right now in Michigan, but I will use a heatshring gun for the dry ice thing. sounds neat.
The plunger gave my car circles that wouldnt come off until I used a buffer.
My dents are VERY small, they wouldn't pop in the sun though.
Dent popper left two small purple dots where the purple adhesive was on my cousin's Talon.

With the dry ice you have to make sure it is pretty much a hot day outside. Have the car sitting in the direct sunlight on that hot day, and on the peakness of the hotness, take that dry ice and put it on the dent. Or something similar to that.
