My wife's 2000 Grand Am is constantly breaking the white plastic bracket on the drive cable in the window regulatr. Is this a common problem, sure seems like it since cannot find part in salvage yard. Plus I am about to replace the driver side regulator for the third time and have just replaced the passangers reglator. Dropping 3 bills is getting really old. Any advise on this problem? Also need advise on fixing or replacing the dash pad in this car. how much? how difficult?
Thanks,

I am an auto glass installer for the Glass Doctor.
I have encountered this problem before.
Your tracks in the front or rear either have been damaged at one time, or dirt has gotten in them.
It would be worth checking this.

Hi there, my friend has the same problem (front window) with a 2001 Grand Am, He got the two clips for $8 each at a junker but we don't know how to install it. We removed the panel but we don't have idea how to connect those clips to the cable...thanks for the help...
