well, the sequel to what happen to my car is, i have Zero compression on one of the cylinders. its just done. spark plug burnt to death.
$1700 to rebuild one side of the motor, but i would need $800 more to just get the whole thing rebuilt.
but soemtimes you just dont have the money. maybe once i get all my credit back to good, i can then do the rest.
anyway, car should be up and running in a couple weeks.
all the cars i've beat, and for awhile there, my compression sucked, i dont think i've had all my power since i bought the car.
people keep telling me i should sell it.
you know what i tell em hotshot, i laugh and tell them i'm keeping my baby until i'm buried. in a few years here i'm gonna restore it, get her back to the day she rolled out of the dealership, or close to it.

You'll have your baby rebuilt from the ground up before you're done.

I have a NA Stealth and I am in the middle of trying to rebuild, and going through the same thing, I found some stock rebuilds for $900 and they are good, but performance just keeps screaming at me, but money rules all unfortunatly, and I have hardly any of it. I feel ya man. Keep truckin on it, and it will work out in the end.

I think that was towards me, I have priced it and the parts come out to bout $10,000 roughly with me doing the work, plus about $400 for machining. But after that there will really be no internals left to upgrade, it will make me cry.

awesome... congrats... I'm happy for you... now I can't wait until I can say that mine has been fixed... It'll be down for a whole week after I get the money together... and the hood hinges broke on it yesterday... so it's hard to keep the hood down... it's a sort of cowl-induction system now.. looks almost like a corvette hood...

carefull not to drive it like that of course, i've seen it happen twice on the freeway when the hood detaches and slams into the windshield, ugly sight

yeh... it's flipped up twice... once after hitting the deer... when all the latches were bent and not catching properly.. and once after taking out the system... my buddy didn't shut it good... and didn't tell me either... it's cracked that fiberglass trim that goes up the side of the windows... and bent the hood and its hinges...

now that I think a/b it, I think I'd like a raised cowl on the hood and/or reverse the way it opens... that'd be pretty cool, anyone ever heard of it done to a 3000gt?
