sell it get a real sports car?
Swap motors is your best bet as Ds are weak when holding any REAL hp #.
look into swapping a K24 into your car.
btw duals on I-4 don't help at all probbly cause some losses.

I think a K24 is too big for this chasis and suspension. With a K20A2 or K20A is better.

I really don't like the NO2... but there are something.
An NO2 is too easy, just install some hoses, fittings, solenoids, a bottle
and a switch... But it is most "cotly-effective"
************************************************** **
All the hp comes from the fuel. With a NO2 you need to add fuel, so bigger injectors will help you (be sure to select the correst size). Or see my previus post to improve all the fuel system.
************************************************** ****
*Personally, I think for NO2 a short ram air is better, beacause the engine don't have to "suction" it from more distance and the NO2 already cool the air. Or install some divice that allow the engine take the air closely to the throttle at low mph and take colder air at high mph (use your imagination). At low mph the cold air intake really doesn't take so much cold air.
*Test how is the throttle response and the overall performance with and without the cold air intake. Then you can decide.
***From my experince for something like drag racing the cold air don't really work.***
*All the hp comes from the fuel. With a NO2 you need to add fuel, so bigger injectors will help you. Or see my previus post to improve all the fuel system.
*Install an air/fuel ratio gauge so you can know how is air/fuel mix. Rich mix is better.
*"Colder" spark plugs will be better, it help that the mix (air-fuel) doesn't burn too early because an overheated spark plug.
*A header JDM 4-2-1 is better than the common 4-1 that comes for the EX model.
*An 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust system is good to you.
*A high performance springs will make your suspension strong so it do not start to "bouncing" when the engine release all the hp.
*A lightweight chrome-moly flywheel will reduce the inertiel force on your engine. I don't recommend an aluminum flywheel because it commonly have a steel gear, and aluminum and steel have different expasion coefficient.
*A pulley kit. Unorthodox or AEM.
*Be sure how many NO2 you are injecting. The kits comes rated in hp (i.e. 50hp, 75hp, 100hp, etc.).

Those things listed above will give you 5whp. Dyno your car I'll bet anything on it. The D17 does not take very friendly to mods. If you want your car to sound fast and maybe look a bit faster then yes by all means perform the tasks listed above. But if you wanted a fast 7th gen then my friend ACE gave you the best advise. I would never recommend adding I/H/E to make a car faster. Its proven it does not increase your HP. If you would like to have a fast 7th gen then yes swapping in a K series engine will be your only bet. By swapping in this series engine you are opening the door to a vast array of possibilities that you did not have wit hte D series. The K series is a designed entirely different. Now if your budget does not see this in the future then you might want to consider a turbo. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THIS. I do not feel this is a financialy smart idea, but a turbo can be added to your car to produced the max of 170-180 HP with the torque increasing as well. Somthing like this will run you upwards of 5 grand when your done. The price is just not worth it to me seeing is how a K series will still destroy you for under 1000$. Your 01 is old save your money and sell the car purchase one that is already mod friendly and fast to begin with.

Buy a 4G CRX, turbo a B16A or DOHC ZC. Cost effective, retro and fast. What more could you ask for?
