Just wonderin' what the worst job you guys ever had was. I used to work at Wendy's and this place called Metal Improvement, which was a heat-treating plant. Check this shit out-

That's right... That was a huge fireball bursting out of a furnace!

mine was in a foundry almost just like in that pic is how it was. except I had to load metal into a furnace with flames shooting out. sweated my ass off and it was hard work.

Yup, that's just about the same type of crap I had to do. Loadin parts in furnaces and takin them out at like 1700 degrees. Only good thing there was the benefits lol.

You say that now, but wait til you're there for a while. Besides that, they don't pay very well anyways. 9 bucks an hour but you did get overtime if you wanted. Working conditions suck though man. Think 140+ degrees when it's 97 outside. You know it's too damn hot when you go out into the July sun to cool off.

True, but I'd do it for like 25$ an hour.......for like a month....

I did it for 6 months at $12 per hr. I wouldent be ablt to put up with it for the rest of my life though. It was a job for me until I start college which is in jan after a year and a half of waiting.

you can get a job anywhere as long as you know how to get it. i haven't been turned down from a job in 5 years. you gotta be persistant and go back atleast every 2nd day but don't be too annoying while you're there. get to the point and show you really want the job. thats what i've done and i'm now parking cars for $10/hr plus at least another 5 or 6/hr in tips.. i've earned up to $200 in a day..
but my worst job happened to be the highest paying. tree planting. we had to get up early everyday (some days there was frost on the ground), make our own shitty lunches, drive for half an hour, get out and work our asses off for 10-12 hours in the blistering heat, freezing rain, hail, thunderstorms with rotten feet, cold hands, blisters, sore feet, drenched clothes and the realization that if you don't work, you don't earn money. all that seems to be just complaints but when you're out there, being attacked by a bear seems about perfect by 9am. i actually almost broke my arm on purpose so i could go home but sucked it up and made $5000 more.. next year, i'm slated to earn about $13000 before taxes. thats in 2.5 months.. max 3
haha what a rant.. but slidestar, go for anything at this point. find places that are paying $10.hr and bug them till they hire you.

The thing is, I can't park cars or do anything where you drive them (anywhere legit) because I have to be 21 and retail is all minimum wage, maybe I'll go to telemarketing or something, lol, I'm still ganna inquire about the pharma shit, can't be that bad, alot of people have done it and it's pretty tightly watched over in Quebec.

lol d-bo i was wondering how that tree thing worked out.
probably the easiest type of job with the best pay is sales of any kind. but it is hard and not for everyone. also at least in CA anything with real estate is grit because the housing market is exploding. pretty soon we are going to be fucked though because they arent building infrastructure. i think everyone displaced from Katrina should build freeways in california. depression style socialism would fix soSOOOOSOSOsososo much.

My Job at Sonic was shitty but I had alot of fun.
One of my coworkers stuck a ft long hotdog in his zipper and ran around waving it around for a couple minutes after some guy calls in
"hey I need to cancel my order"
"Uhhh, Yes Sir. May I ask why?"
"Because theres a damn kid running around with his wiener out"
Long story short the guy threatens to call the cops and health inspector and my friend got fired on the spot...
He was truely a god amoung men.
We never really did anything shitty to the food to serve to people but a couple of good moments
-guy makes a ball of cookie dough for the shakes and tries to bake a cookie on the grill
-We sent shit out freezing cold all the time (people complain like 1/10 times... but when you do something minimally wrong people bitch like 9/10 times)
-some kids showed up and we didnt have anything better to do so five of us just stood there and stared em down.
-then somelady was bitching about how she used to work there and my coworker yells over the PA "we changed the menu ya dumb bitch"... which was followed by one hell of a long awkward silence.
yeah there were some good times

Drycleaners....
It was like 110* most of the time. But most of the people there were bitchy about the heat. IT honestly isn't that bad.
Main thing... Customer service.. Customer service is by far the worst job ever. I'd prolly do anything as long as I am by myself just doing what I need to do with no interference.

Movie Theatre. Minimum Wage. 14 hour shifts doing concession. 200K+ people going through the theatre. had to work like 36 hours a day to get overtime.
and free popcorn only goes so far
(but, if you want to know some badass popcorn recipes, I got 'em)
and it wasn't -that- bad, but then, I've been lucky.

i thought in the alternate dimension where there are 36 hours a day popcorn would carry a little more weight? apparently not its same as ever, tastes great but gets stuck in your teeth so much you never want to eat it.

So is syphoning gas...
Well, it wasn't really 36 hours a day. It was, we figured out; you would have to work a double, opening box (ticket sales) and closing midnight usher (leaves between 1 and 4) all 14 days of the pay-period.
I did it on New Years Day. time and a Half.
I'd gotten suspended for disobeying the manager and moving my till to a sattelite concession. On Christmas day. but they needed my bitch-ass for New year's day...

lol rw that is great. "we changed the menu bitch" whahahhahahah damn thats a moment. Hmm iv never really had a "shitty" job. I mean all jobs are shitty, but mine have just been really boring if anything. I would say the worst was being a conscession stand person for baseball games. It was sweet in a way.....LOTS OF GALS....but so damn hot on top of all the damn ovens and shit. I usually made teh women work, and i clean at the end lol. I felt like they were my bitches, but they all wanted my nutsack so they didnt mind. The worst part was when my 300lb boss said if she was 10 years younger she'd screw the hell out of me lol. I proceeded to walk outside, hold back my throw up, and walk back in. But i did finger some girls back in the freezer room lol. Dumb highschool biyatches. Plus when the tournaments came in, there would be out of town puntang all over...... to the state of texas, i love you. The milfs would tip me, cuz you know id be one of those guys that was over complimentative (if thats a word) and give them free sodas and shit, thats the only way to have fun there. My female co-workers hated that crap lol. Damn i had that place on lock. The pay was shitty 6.75 i beleive, but it made up for it in puntang so i didnt care. It was only for like 4 hours a day anyway. Except for the weekends. Id always steal BOXES of skittles and various other candies. I miss that place. Nothing like stealing from the cities stash. It was a city job lol.

I do outdoor plumbing now and it is a lot better than working in a foundry. I dont think working on farms is that bad ive worked at farms not too bad as long as your not throwing hay or anything like that because outside you get a breeze so it cools you off. in a foundry you are in a 150 degree building with no breeze. sweated my ass off in there.
