The last one or the fourth ones.. they looked the best. Also more spokes = uglier it gets. IMO though.. also I couldnt give you an example using photoshop because the angle of the pics of rims and also your car. AND for some gay reason my photoshop didnt feel like working.

I like the fourth set down. The gunmetal color would look hot with the black you're planning on...

i dont, problem is i only need the rim but i donno if i can afford 2 diss mount and a remount, i hit a curb at about 35mph and bent one of my rims a lil bit, so i went to the junk yard and got a new one, but the tire is diffrent from what im running, mybent rim is ok for now its not leaking air or anything but was wondering if i should go for the 2 dismounts and re mount?

i damaged 2 tires and a rim, i got 2 new tires but the rim i just got is good but has a diffrent tire on it

a rim from a 93 cav (the stock steel shit) should fit a 96 cav right? should be the exact same rim, im not 100% sure because the bodys changed and the rims might have changed a lil bit to.

2 dismounts and a remount

Ah, you got two new tires, now it's all coming together for me.

I don't know if the rims are the same, I'm sure the bolt pattern is, but the the height, or width could be different (I really doubt it). I call up a tire shop (Firestone, Tires Plus, or whatever you have around those parts you're from), check into the cost of mounting and balancing the tires, and ask whether or not the rims are the same. Being that they sell rims, they gotta know.

Oh ya, I forgot to say that I'd definately put on the new tires. Being a front wheel drive car, and with winter looming, if you would like to start avoiding curbs, it would certainly be beneficial to have "really sweet" traction.

Just stay away from curbs when you get the new wheels...lol. Could put a rubber bumper around your car like the bumper cars...lol

One question though... Can you do that to a Cav and not kill it??? I mean, it wasn't designed to handle that much power or weight or performance. Unless you're going to beef up the frame and drivetrain, along with the suspension I think you're asking for trouble.

Example... Had a neighbor (complete fuckrod so I don't really care) who did a frame off resto on a 68 mustang. While doing it, somehow squeezed a 450+ HP engine into it, and restored everything else to stock pretty much (no one ever said this guy was smart). Anyway, maiden voyage was ok. Several after that were ok. Was showing off the first weekend, trans let go and took the frame and motor mounts with it, body came off the frame and made a BIG mess out of his $20k mustang. Luckily his friends were ok, he's a gimp now though. Just saying... go nuts man, but be careful.

(That would be kinda damned funny though. See a cav smoking everyone at the strip. When you get it done, bring it down and we'll go to cecil county and see what your cav and my maro can really do. I'll buy the cheesesteaks and beer. You are in Jersey right?)

btw, i dont exactly wanna do the rims first, but since i do wanna do the breaks first and the brakes that i have found will only fit in a rim size that is 17'' or larger.

well i was looking to put in a 3.8 v6 and turboing the hell out of it, but it was just pointed out to me that there is a 4.3 v6 out there (s10 engine) that wont take as much to get 500hp or so, so now im gearing up and trying to get my questions in order and start to plan this out a lil bit, and im still gonna turbo it.

thats cool, i may have to get the rims chromed, once its lowered and i got the big ass brake kit on it, it will look hot, plus i will have the bumpers car color black, with some mild gfx, none of that super wild shit. wow thats gonna be a bad ass looking car. and when i get the engine and suspension done, it will be badass, damn i cant wait, a cav that nothing around here could ever touch even if i have 4 flats.

i was told a lil while ago that my best bet will be the 2.4L ecotec and that the 4.3L wont work, but i still think the 3800 out of a monte carlo would be much better then the 2.4 ecotec i donno, the ecotec motor is close to 4 grand, not counting the forged internals and shit, yet the 3800 from a monte doesnt cost that, shit a reman 4.3 from an s10 is only 2200

i wanna toy with this 3800 idea altho i will prob end up going with the 2.2L ecotec altho i dont see that lill ass 4 banger pumping out the 400 hp i want my cav to have :(

I agree with the 2.4 ecotec, i read somewhere that they have proven drag times of 8 secs. Read it somewhere. Plis, it shold pretty mch be a drop in application. My "T-V key does not work, the letter that comes after T.

8 seconds huh? is that in a cav? there really isnt much aftermarket for the 2.4 right now... but the 2.2 has tons of shit out there for it... so i think its gonna be a 2.2 + i found out something, and im gonna go check on it... dont ask because im not telling anyone.

also the ecotec engine has the ehaust on the other side of the engine compared to the one i have in there now, will this be a problem? also would it be worth doing true dual exhaust?, id prob only do like 2.5 inch pipe, but i can route like 2 pipes together and run each to straight down each side, and stragiht out the back. would it be worth the added weight of the 2nd cat and muffler?

I believe magnaflow would be a choice, it'll be the next exhaust catback i get for my car when i do the swap, Mr. Lous says the flow awesomely for the price, which is somewhat affordable. Would love to with Borla or GMMG, but way outta my price league for exhuast.
