new artist

wassup i just started drawing last week and i decided to start in 2d. can yall rate my pictures and tell me what i can improve?

my bro is 15 and couldn't draw better. You are good, you'll improve soon as you keep on drawing.

You have a good overall feeling for the cars shape. Your lines will become clearer and stronger in the future. And don't be too shy to try a 3d drawing.

For first drawings, those are very good, since you have some sense of 3D and perspective. Just do lots of practice ought to fix things up. But yeah, that second 2D one is sweet. Keep it up :)

i just did this today, the erased lines are from the ford gt40 i tried to draw before this.

this was on the cover of motor trend magazine, the background was so dark that the tyres were invisible so i'm still working on that part.
also i borrowed this big book from my school media center about classic cars tht has 2d pictures on every page so i should have 2 more tommorow

try some of Trosley's stuff. Though he's a cartoonist the principles can be applied to realistic drawing as well.

thanks man i tried the trosley stuff with laying out the shapes first and i drew my first 3d car, it isn't great but it's still 3d

i used lined paper because i ran out of a4 and the pencil marks is where the lines used to be, i ran it over with pen so you can see. pretty soon i'll ave up to buy some markers and start painting in color
