motor gets too hot

i drive an altima 96 and just today a realized that the cold and hot meter for the motor goes all the way to the hot section but it was working fine this morning, can i get help please don't have the money to be taking it to any were, the rediator just got changed about 6 month ago.

First look in the radiator to check the coolant level. Do both radiator fans turn when you first turn the A/C on? Is your service eng soon light on? Is your speedo working correctly? If there isn't a problem with any of the above, change the thermostat. Use RTV without a gasket. Use a couple of dabs of RTV to glue the thermostat in place so it doesn't slip while you are tightening the bolts. If it slips the thermostat housing will break as the bolts are tightened. Use a 195 deg thermostat.

I went back to worm the car and turn the ac on the the meter was going to go close to the hot side when it started to drop, i'll check all you told me and thank for your time agen justsaygo
