Here's how it works: play "The Wizard Of Oz" from the top and wait for the MGM lion to appear. Immediately following the lion's third roar, start "Dark Side Of The Moon." Turn the stereo up and the TV down. You'll know you're in sync if producer Mervyn Leroy's credit hits on the musical transition.


This may be a repost but I don't care. I'm just wondering if anybody has actually tried this. If I had the Wizard of Oz I'd give it a shot but I don't.

Well, it may not be a repost, but I'm pretty sure any kid that has gone to high school in the past 25 years knows about this.

Anyways, it kinda works, but you pretty much have to be stoned to enjoy any of it.

I have a video of the entire DSOTM album played from that spot of the Wizard of Oz. There are some resemblances, but in my opinoin, it's a myth.

Kindof like the guy hagning in the background. Not all of it is true. Parts of it do line up, others don't.

It's weak and over rated...bein the idiots that these freshmen are, they ran out to get a copy of the movie to do just that at like 10 at night when there were perfectly good parties goin' on...idiots.

i've done it once and won't do it again. i was hangin out with some friends my freshman year in college. they were shrooming and wanted to watch "darkside of Oz" as they called it. nothing real special, you have to get it PERFECT. don't waste your time.

I don't know, it worked perfect for me. It was that Dark Side of Oz one too. There were 1 or 2 times that it didn't seem to match up for a minute or 2, but for the most part it matched perfectly. And yes I was high at the time.
