I went to the damn junk yard today and found out I'd have to shell out $125, and I'm pretty sure that's on a used one. What should I pay for this thing? I feel I'm going to get ripped off. I want to swap it into my Y7 and I'm sure I need more than just the manifold. I figured it'd be no more than $40 for everything I needed. What happened to the days where you would sign in and go browse the yard? They wouldn't even show it to me unless I was a serious buyer. I hate to buy stuff online, but I hope to hit a few more junk yards and get an idea of the price.

I payed $40 for my Y8 Manifold... Don't go to junk yards, they tend to bump prices up nicely.

Thanks. I am givving up for a while because I HATE buying stuff over the internet and I just can't seem to find a good deal. I didn't want a fast car, I just wanted to do a little bit for fun, you know? I was going to paint it blue along with the valve cover get a nice short ram and be happy until I could afford to maintain a real car.
I might just get a short ram now, but really don't feel like spending $80 for no performance gains and a slight change in sound.:/
The reason why I wanted to install the manifold is because I heard it helps a LOT top end and sounds a slight bit better in the higher rpm range(my Y7 just sounds like it stuggling near the redline)

and as far as buying over the internet, don't worry about it...get PayPal and buy from someone that's been on the specific site for a while.....
