Hey guys......Gals...

I have an 85 vette that I have owned for about 10 years now.
It rarely sees a 1000 miles per year. Has 119,000 miles on it.
There is a slight problem when I first try to crank it for the day.
It will start then die........Do that 4 or 5 times and it finally stays running. Does this motor the (the tuned port) have a cold start valve?

Also has one other thing that drives me nuts.

The tach (digital of course) at an idle will fluctuate within 5 to 6 hundred rpm......Seems I recall my 84 having that problem as well.

Thanks for any help.

man i have the same prob, when i first crank my 87 it will idle for a min, then die, then it wont start, i hve to wait a while. but if i crank it and keep it idled up a lil bit till it warms up, its fine and it will sty running, and i can kill it and it will start right back up. but i would really like to know what the prob is and how to fix it
