You could tow a dirt bike without much of a problem, but I sure as hell wouldn't put a hitch on my car...

I saw a 4th gen ss towing a dirtbike last summer, so its possible, but the big question remains.... WHY? Thats what trucks are for.

Dude it's possible, 3.8s pack 200 HP and torque is a little bit more, so its definately possible.. the only reason I said dont take it on the highway is because you'll be in first gear.. not being able to go that fast.
Dont listen to all these losers though, nothing redneck about hauling with a Camaro, atleast I dont think so.. it just means you dont want a truck and its obvious Camaro's have enough torque to rival trucks so its all good.

i agree...its kinda odd to see but i'd do it too if i needed to haul my dirt bike...being in college and broke all the time i couldnt afford a truck, in the owners manual there is a section about towing anyways....go for it! the one i saw was on I64 and it kept up pretty well with everyone

Make sure you follow the directions for the installation of the hitch. If it says bolt it on then bolt it on as it probably flexes a little when loaded. If the design requires flex and you weld it on instead of bolting it on then there is a possiblity of the welds cracking and the hitch falling off. Plus, if its bolted on and you decide you don't like it or need it anymore you can take it off.

My dad's Chevy Lumina APV mini van has a 3.1 (I believe) and we have hauled around a lot heavier shit than a dirt bike. Including a 500 pound combat robotics arena on a trailer with a flat tire. Your fine. Don't even need to leave it in first just put it in drive.

it'll be fine, there's ppl that way more than that. just think if you loaded your car with 4 200lb ppl, i think it'd be able to handle it.

I was lookin at dis but im not sure what kinda hitch i should get cause i'll need something like 350lbs (trailer) + 300lbs (bike so thats like 750 lbs just on the tounge weight does the tonge weight only have a factor on the hitch and not what kinda car its connected 2?
edit
dis too

i think that would work better cause it has higher tonge weight like 1,000 lbs is more den enough safe then sorry
