i'm gonna try to find a ls/vtec longblock and drop that in the crx..... i'm gonna use my b16a1 head just because of all of the work that's done to it... and then work the other head in the mean time......how would this work w/ my cable tranny.....

B17A1 tranny, great ratios, and its a cable tranny
be sure the LS bottom end is prepared for the swap. its not built to handle the revs of a VTEC engine and as such is not a reliable engine unless prepared right.

see this is somthign that always confused me like how someblocks can't work with a cable tranny, like putting a b16a2 on a y1 trans, i never understood that one.... it's a 94 ls b18b block, for starters my car would have to be obd 1 but i dunno, the place that makes them importbuilders.com i guess has a ripping reputation, i might jsut say piss on another swap and just get the damn revhard 2c

WHAATSUP GUYYYS!! FINALLY THE FORUM I WAS LOOKING FOR!
Iknnow my car is a 95...but i'm running an LS/VTEC setup in it too!
I've had it for about a year now...and it has treated me very very well!
I was running it with Type-R Internals. (CTR cams, pistons, headers, and exhaust). 12:1 Compression Ratio.
The best time I ran with Slicks in the 1/4 mile was a 13.7 at Palmdale LACR (High Elevation). That's without seats (passenger and rear), no muffler (that's the only place i know that would let u do that), full air ram, and VP race gas(108 Octane). I think i have some pictures of it still floating around in some other forum...but I have another in my profile.
On the Dyno it gave me 198 @ the wheels.
It's done pretty good but for some reason i'm still not satisfied. I'm selling my bottom-end if anyone is interested. I'm dumping in a B18C5 shortblock tomorrow..so i'm really RREAALLLLY excited about that.So if any of you who are in the area and areinterested in an LS bottom end with ITR Pistons...give me a call....i'm thinking around $1300 for everything. I just wanna get rid of it.
