Alright peoples of the forum, pleaes bear with me, im a noob, just registered today. I have a 2002 xtreme Blazer. Does anyone out there know if it is at all possible to take the igniton from a 2002 jetta, bmw, jaguar, or any other car that has a flip key ignition, and put it in my blazer?? I want the flip key ignition, and the keyless enytry remote to work with the locks and all that good stuff. I am kinda thinking that i am going to have to take the entire door lock control modual and the igniton switch cylinder out of the jetta ( or buy it brand new ) and replace it with the stock from my blazer.

Any information, or how to's on this would be greatly appreciated. If there is anyone near the Grand Rapids MI area that knows anything about this and would be willing to install something like this, i am willing to pay any parts and labor.

Nope, won't work, completely different setup.

You want to spend 1-2k for a flip key?

How about putting time into mods that actually mean something instead of wasting time with little insignificant things like the key.

I'll bite,.... What's a flip key?

On my '97, the key goes in no matter what side I insert (front or back of the key)

it is a key like a switch blade that you push a button and the key swings out.
