calling all the pro's!

I have a 84 silerado with a 350 small block i am having serious problems with the carborator or something. Everytime I accelerate it boggs out and sputters I have changed the fuel filter and now im thinking of plugs wires and dis. plus cap, also thinking of cleaning the carborator! What should I use to give this thing a really good cleaning? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You may need to have carb rebuilt - also check the timing, should be 8-12 degrees below top dead center @ idle
