Have you seen the 1/5th RC cars????
I own one, and I got to tell you, is the best scale car I have own and drive. The most fun and realistic.
I have own an 1/10 (1 HPI, still in the closet, and 1 Serpent), have drive a 1/8th (WAY too fast), and my 1/5th wich is the current only one righ now.

Well, the latest engines for 1/5th scale are on the 3 to 6 hp range now. So, for a car that only weights 23 to 25 lbs (10kg), it's a lot.
I'll post a pic soon of my 1/5th Primera.

well, really look at an r/c car engine. Mine's 2.5cc and 1.25 hp soooo
1.25/.0025=500 hp/L
but you try to get an rc car to pull anything. since it makes that hp at 30K and has .03 lb/ft of torque

Well, I really can't speak about the shops in UK, but I know in Orlando USA, there is a distributor of the Bergonzoni Car (1/5th) and they have a car that is US$500 including engine, body and tires. The best offer right now. The normal cost of an 1/5 must be more than US$1,000 depending on the brand and the options.
I think the best information source for you must be an UK magazine, Rev-Up, you can go to http://www.rev-up.co.uk/ and will find all the info you need.
And they run on normal pump gas.:silly2:

Hi I own a few r/c cars one of them being a FG Marder Buggy and I aggree fully that they have to be one of the most fun r/c cars that I have owned.( Ive had a few) It has a 23cc petrol engine the same as the rest of the fg range of cars and has enough power to wheelie up a grassy hill and that wasnt even flat out. The thing I like about it is that all I have to do is go to the petrol station get some petrol and two stroke oil and I have enough fuel to last me a 3-4 weeks. If Id been buying nitro(yes Ive had few nitro cars in the past) for the same money I would only have been able to run the nitro car for about a week due to the price of fuel.
