I need to replace the upper and lower intake gaskets on my GTP.
It is a 2K 3.8 SC.
I have never changed a gasket on this vehicle or any SC GTP's before now. Are there any special inherited "gotchas" with this R&R.
Secondly, what are the torque specifications for the SC to the lower?
Thirdly, what are the torque specs for the lower to the block?
Thanks.

I would book a whole day or 2 for this if you've never done it before. It's not too bad though, just alot to remove
Why do u need to replace gaskets if i may ask?

I am seeing a little seepage around the intake where it meets the head on the number 1 or 2 intake runner. (the front of the engine on the passenger side and I have to add about 8 ounces every 3-4 weeks). From all that I have read in the various discussions it appears that this is a common problem with the engine disign.

It's def coming for the gasket and not maybe from the plastic elbow that runs to the water pump??
When u buy the gaskets make sure and get the 2 yellow orings also, they are usually deformed and that is the area that you'll end up scrapping the most old gasket off.
