I have a 1999 civic si with a b16
heres the specs:
Bomz racing cold air intake
aem 2.5 inch bypass valve
oil catch can
bosch plugs
oem wires
carbon fiber spoiler
5-speed hydro
when i try to start the car it sometimes turns over, when it does, it idles at 800 rpm's. when i try to go it will not make power. instead it makes a whoomp whoomp sound from the intake.
a week before i filled the tank with 91 octane gas and added NOS octane booster. i didn't realize it was the race only formula with the nitromethane. oops.
im at a quarter of a tank and the car just started this. it has 63,500 mi.
if you can tell me what might be wrong it would be very appreciated.
if you need more info. let me know.

The Si runs on 91 octane, he shouldn't have put the octane booster. A D series on the other hand is a different story. My friend's EX Didn't sound to hot with a full tank of 91 octane he thought he should treat himself with.

use up all the fuel that had the octane boost. after that top it off with some 91. go from there. dont ever put octane boost in the fuel again.

i replaced the fuel filter. the guys i work with said to run 87 in it to dilute it. for about 600 mi.
