hey, thanks a lot for the advice, but some of your pointers make me kind of skeptical, i will have money to spend, so i can buy good parts instead of puttin a cheap muffler on to my stock system or just takin it off, i'm lookin for good quality parts, or things that will just make it funner to drive but be a good daily driver at the same time, i already know about the ps/as, but i live in hot weather and i'd hate not to have ps because my friend tells me its a pain in the ass

hey, thanks a lot for the advice, but some of your pointers make me kind of skeptical... Good, you should be skeptical.
Work on your suspension and get some good tires (don't go over 16's for rims btw), for starters. Don't skimp on suspension with cheap stuff, you'll regret it if you do. I've seen so many friends and acquaintances buy cheap ass springs and shocks, are never happy, and end up buying new ones after a few years. If you want to do a swap, I'd recommend either the b16a, b18b, or even the b20. All will run you roughly $2,500ish. Another option would be to turbo your existing engine, or buy another d16z6 and build that (strengthen the internals) then turbo.

you wern't kidding about ghetto were you I replyed to each of these "tips"
-get a filter instead of CAI -ok this i can see
-Disconnect ur muffler or get a new 1 -rofl....
-or/and get ur cat deleted - illegal stupid and doesn't help
-synthetic oil change - not enough to really matter i've tried sny on stockers I find it not needed
-Spark plugs with the 4 thingys - yea thingies more the better ... NKG is all your ever need
-Take out PS/AC - small gains but are you willing to give up AC/PS?
-use washers to prop up ur hood in the back to create Cowl inducttion (http://www.limboland.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=pt&Product_Code=PZH101F&Category_Code=EBP)

-oh yeah lots of unneccacary stickers (like 50-60hp) - I rock my motorbuilders shop sticker i guess that did more then the motor he made
-and take notes from fast and the furious! - well duh how you think we got to know so much
as civicspoon stated suspension and rims *tires* as a great start. go autoX and drag learning to drive is the best mod you can do and it goes with to to all cars.

If you still have spare cash after all that, I would definitely recommend a short shifter. No, it won't make your car any faster. But it makes driving your car in general a more enjoyable experience. More fun, and less of a task to shift. Trust me, it makes a difference.

Swap motor and may be a few more basic upgrades, but nothing serious. I'm trying to hook up a car in high school myself right now and I know it's not easy.

hey thanks a lot, thats what i was lookin for, at first the suspension mods were what i was thinkin, and dont worry, i'm really not into cheap parts, i've already looked at a couple rims that i want to purchase, i'm thinking of some gram lights or maybe some work cr kai, those are the two that i want the most, i dont really know what type of tires would be best though so if u have experience with some tires please tell me!
