stalling while idleing

i have a 2.2 with 112,000mi. it runs fine but after driving for a while it will not crank somtimes unless you put your foot on the gas. sometimes this makes it run somtimes it just stalls. put new fuel filter on this helped for about a day. now heres the kicker if it does run with the air on and you turn it off the car shuts off. any help will be gr8ly appretiated.

Check you fuel peresher regulator. The reason it probly rus with the air on is cuz the air requires more fuel and a higher rpm to run it. You should also check you throttel postioning sencer.
