i have a boss riot 545 amp. i was running it at 4 ohms so it did 200x2 (2 channel 1000w amp). one day the right side blew and ony produces a little static. so now i have to keep both speakers on the left side until i fix this problem. can anyone tell me how i can go about doing this myself?

Ok do you have a multimeter. Actually you might not even need that.Your gonna wanna take off the case(this would be easier if you had the schematic for that particular amp) But it sounds like a resistor has gone bad and there is no connectivity, it could be open or shorted. You might even luck out and see where that resistor was fried. Since it is only affecting one channel that narrows it down. Does your amp have two fuses? If so check both. I am sure you have though. To test it. set it to diode mode. It will beep if it is good. And depending on your skills with a solder gun , makes the difference between hard and easy.
