The Exorcism of Emily Rose

I went and saw this in the theatre last night(free but that's another story). I went in to the movie expecting them to try and frighten or terrify me, but that wasn't the case of what they were trying to accomplish in this film. It was a very good film, and extremely creepy, but i can't say that i was scared at all watching it. The point of the film was to get people to watch it, and i can't explain this to you, you'll have to go see for yourself what i'm talking about. Do i believe any of it? I have to say yes, because at first i was thinking...just another made for big screen drama to sell, but as i watched it i kept realizing, well if they wanted it to be that way they would have done this or that, so yes i believe they kept it historically acurate, and the more i dwell on the movie, the more i believe in everything that was said. One of the few times a movie like this will get good reviews from me, i have to say i was very impressed and moved by this movie, i recommend it.

Nice, I wanna see it, the previews look good, but you can't tell a movie from the prieviews at all. So you would spend 5-6 bucks on it? If you didn't sneak in? lol..

It wasn't exactly sneeky, i got pissed and tired of waiting for some lady buying gift cards so i walked past the ticket guy, right in front of him, and walked towards theatre #1 of 16.... I didn't care i was already late and in a hurry.

But yes, i would spend the money on it, and it will get added to my dvd collection.

i heard the film is more about the trial rather than the actual girl being possesed? true?

I am dying to see it. I will wait till it is out on dvd. I feel too guilty about leaving my kids with a sitter. They sprouted little horns. but I, really really want to see it...

It's a good mix of both actually.

you wanna see that movie? even the commercial scares the crap out of me!

I saw it the day after it came out. It didn't really scare me but it but there were a couple parts where I was a little stunned. Great movie though and it will be added to my DVD collection also.

Just got home from seeing it. I thought it was a really good movie. As Josh pointed out, it was nothing that I expected. Completely opposite of what I was thinking it was going to be about.
