2001 Durango Fuel Smell? After Starting?

Hi there, and thanks for looking at this thread. I need help with my 2001 Durango. I took it to two dealers and they cannot find the problem. I have a hard time starting the vehicle. It takes a longer period of time for the engine to start when I turn the ignition. When it starts, it smells like gas/fuel. I do not know what it could be? The dealers are also baffled. Any help would be appreciated.
