I just bought a Apple Powerbook and I am having problems connecting to the internet with it. It has a airport card installed but I cannot connect to our wireless router with it. Does the airport wireless internet card only work with airport basestation? If not how can I get it to connect to my router?

Does the wireless router work with other computers? If it does, you need to set up your inernet connection on the laptop. Did you get the g4? My school has them.

yeah I got the new g4 powerbook. weirdest thing, the damn thing just started working for absolutely no reason at all, I set up the internet connection when i got it a week ago and I wasn't able to log onto the internet for days (hence this thread) then I tried the web again last night and it worked on every network I tried it on.
Guess I just have to get used to the quirks of macs.

Haha, that would piss me off. Personally Im not a big fan of the macs, the desktops are a waist-of-space,but the notebooks arn't too bad, especially with a good interent provider.
