car wont start!!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok i have a 1997 gst i just put new revised lifters in my car and it started up niice but when i went to move my car sounded like a goat cart and also when i movd a lil the check engine light came on when i moved up the st cause all u heard was pop bang pop, so last night took the new ones out and put the old ones in and my car doesnt turn over like all it does is go reeeeaaaa or w,e lol i dont know the sound it just wont kick over, idk whats wrong with my car if i cant fix it tm its going to the shop does anyone have any ideas on whats going on>?
