does anyone else have that problem?
its in the automatic transmission...my car (88 formula firebird) stopped engaging its clutch a while back..and i took the transmission oil pan off, and when i opened the valve, i found broken springs in it..
i also have a camaro, '85 when i took the spring out of that one to put in the firebird to see if that was the problem, i learned the camaro also has a broken spring.. whats up with this?!?!
is this normal?! and will it stop my firebird from shifting?
i found that the valve on the firebird was a tighter fit, so it might explain the non-shiffting while the camaro still would..
since its mounted upside down, the force of gravity would be able to push the valve back down on the camaro..
can this be the answer to my cars horrible slipping transmission?
