swapping is to damn confusign and messed up so i am gonna make my sohc non-vtec a killer what woudl you do with 2700 and i am going NA maybe turbo later but list setups for both i am bonestock so go off

there are some great places for swaps in CA. just not by you. there is a place...but i just can't think of it. if i do, i'll let ya know

short run down:
-i want a swap,but it's to annoying to find someone to do it
- and it's "illegal"

I want to build up my stock d16a6 any suggestions
-my limit is around 2700
-want NA, thinking NOS or FI
- dont want ZC due to lack of aftermarket

as for who do to it, do it yourself:D


but if youre looking do build your motor na, you should get stronger rods, higher comp. pistons(heard good stuff about endyn/wiseco pistons)upgrade your valvetrain and get a more agressive cam/camgear tu tune it. I never really took the time to learn building up NA engines too much, cause im set on FI. I think all that crap is good to start with tho :)

Where in cali exactly are you from ... cause in the bay ... there is alot of honda owners and alot more support then i knew till i bought mine. Im amazed at the little after market shops my friends take me to ... its crazy how much you can put inside tiny little shops.

Isnt if the Engine is same year california car or newer and has all of the smog equip from the year the engine is its legal?? I heard all you have to do is take it to a smog refree and get it certified. then you have a legal swap in Cali.

i actually had a sticker on my "old" car that said CALI SUCKS. it was in the August 2001 issue of MiniTruckin Magazine in the Grafitti Section. the picture was taken at the 2000 MiniTruckin Nationals in Pigeon Forge, TN. i no longer own that car. :(

yeah but that leaves with with an ls which will have over 125k miles on it or it will cost alot i just want a b16a1 :D

I know the feeling.....I wanted a ZC until i found out the rules in cali. Now im plannign on doing the SOHC Vtec insted...

I love living in Victoria BC Canada.....no smog tests....all Motor swaps are 100% legal :p :p

Hey Spy54. If you are worrying about the smog test thing then why don't u just build that d16a6 of yours? I've seen most of your post still tryin to figure out what to do in your car just so that u can be legal. Build up the motor you have now or do the sohc v-tec swap. Well whatever you want to do is all good. Well good luck.:D

eh yeah but the d16a6 isn't the greatest motor to build up :( eh well probly going with that now that i think about it

would you care to repeat that.....it is a good enough motor.....my buddy built his D16A6 and is getting 450hp....its still being built up right now.....but I want him to share his secrets.....he turboed it....thats all I know.

450 damn... it's not lookign so bad after all :p
