Heater core? I think thats what its called. My beretta had to have a new one put in because I would drive for 15 minutes and the sucker would overheat.

Does the cooling fans kick on? At what temp are they kicking on when if they do? Does it overheat if you put a large box fan in front of the radiator and run it on high as the car idles?

Does your upper radiator hose get hot/hard? If so, you have coolant flow but it's just not getting cooled down. How do the fins look on the radiator? Are they rotting out, bent, filled with bugs, etc? You many want to pull it and have it looked at, having it flow tested to make sure it's not plugged or something.

If it overheated severly, you may have blown a head gasket. Also if you've never changed that water pump, now would be a good time. Don't forget to bleed the air out and flush the entire coolant system with something like Prestone Radiator flush.
