I drive my work truck '99 4x4 silverado 2 or 3 times weekly, the other day i noticed battery was dead. i figured i left a light on. jumped it and ran fine, load tested battery showed no problems. it happened again this time i checked carefully no lights left on, no fuel pump running etc. any suggestions please!!!

Check the cargo light or possibly the light under the hood.

Check the Positive terminal on the battery. Mine was like that too. It could be that your positive terminal on your battery is leaking and could just be about ready to fall out making temporary contact.

Also, Do you have an Alarm? Some alarms if installed improperly can kill batteries...

Check the cargo light or possibly the light under the hood.

Thanks for your help, after jumping again kept hearing a clicking sound like under the console. I was feeling the front passenger seat shake very faintly so i moved the seat control button forward, back and elevation also and the clicking stopped. have not heard it since. I am praying that was the culprit. Thank you everyone for your responses.
